Kolsai Lakes:
Kolsai Lakes(kz:Көлсай көлдері) are one of the most beautiful places in Kazakhstan, these
are three green lakes
filled with clear ice water of the river of the same name in the foothills of the Trans-Ili
Alatau at an altitude of 2000 m. Rainbow trout are found in the lakes, living only in spring
or
running water, and in the surrounding mountains you can find deer, mountain goats and even
bears.
Lake Balkhash:
Lake Balkhash(kz:Балқаш көлі)-It is a lake in southeastern Kazakhstan, one of the largest
lakes in Asia and the 15th
largest in the world., the eastern half of the lake contains salt water, and the western
part is relatively fresh, so the underwater world and the inhabitants of different parts of
this beautiful and original place are radically different.
Lake Kaindy:
Lake Kaindy(kz:Қайыңды көлі)-The lake reaches depths of nearly 30 meters (98 ft). It is
located 129 kilometers (80 mi) east-southeast of the city of Almaty and is 2,000 meters
(6,600 ft) above sea level and was formed in 1910 as a result of an earthquake. Landslides
blocked the mountain gorge, which was filled with spring water, drowning the living
coniferous forest. The tall trees were not completely covered with water - their tops stuck
out above the lake, receiving the name Guardians from the locals.
Markakol:
Markakol (Kz: Марқакөл) is a lake in Eastern Kazakhstan.The water in it is very clear, and
its picturesque shores are indented by bays.
Big Almaty Lake:
Big Almaty Lake (kz:Үлкен Алматы көлі) is a high-mountain
body of water in the Trans-Ili Alatau at an altitude of 2510 meters above sea level, 15
kilometers south of the city of Almaty.
Khan Tengri Peak:
Khan Tengri Peak(kz:Хан Тәңірі шыңы)-The most beautiful and mountain peak not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the whole world.
This place became famous due to the unusual shape of its peak - an almost perfect pointed
pyramid, which, along with the entire mountain, turns scarlet during sunrise and sunset.
Since ancient times, people have inhabited this interesting and beautiful place with spirits
and surrounded it with legends.
Medeu:
Medeu(kz:Медеу)- is the world's largest high-mountain complex for winter sports with the largest area
of an artificial ice field - 10.5 thousand m². The high mountains and the purest mountain
water for filling the ice contribute to achieving high results in speed skating. Medeu
remains the leader among stadiums in the number of world records set here at all distances
among men and women (320 records between 1952 and 1988). The Almaty skating rink bore the
title of “factory of records.” It is a state monument of urban planning and architecture of
Republican significance.
Shymbulak:
Shymbulak (Kz: Шымбұлақ) is a popular ski resort in Kazakhstan, near Almaty, located on
the Trans-Ili Alatau ridge slightly above the high-mountain skating rink "Medeo".
Ushkonyr mountain:
Mount Ushkonyr(kz:Үшқоңыр тауы) is not just a hill on the plateau of the same name in the Trans-Ili
Alatau mountains, near Almaty (Kazakhstan), but also a popular launching pad for
paragliding and hang gliding. At the top of the mountain, more than 1960 meters high,
the wind constantly blows, which not only lifts the mood, but also straightens the
canopies of paragliders.
Mausoleum of Khoja Akhmet Yasawi:
Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi (Kz: Қожа Ахмет Яссауи кесенесі) is a mausoleum on the
grave of the Turkic poet and founder of the Sufi order Yassawi Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, located
in the city of Turkestan in the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan. It is the central object on
the territory of the historical and cultural museum-reserve "Khazret Sultan".
Charyn Canyon:
Charyn Canyon(kz:Шарын шатқалы)- is a unique and one of the oldest places in Kazakhstan. Scientists have proven
that the rocks that make up the canyon are more than 12 million years old! The rarest
species of trees also grows here - the relict Sogdian ash, which was distributed throughout
the planet 25 million years ago. Now it can only be found here and in North America.
Baiterek:
Baiterek(kz:Байтерек)- is a monument and observation tower in the capital of Kazakhstan - Astana.
Singing Dune:
The singing dune(kz:Әнші құм төбесі)- is a mountain of sand of light colors, has a length of up to 3 km and a
height of 150 m. The dune is located in the corridor between the ridges of the Dzungarian
Alatau - the Big and Small Kalkans on the territory of the Altyn-Emel National Park in the
Almaty region of Kazakhstan, 183 km to the north east of Almaty. The singing dune is a
natural phenomenon, famous for the fact that in dry weather the sands emit a sound similar
to the melody of a ringing organ.
Burabay:
Borovoe(kz:Бурабай)- is rightfully considered the most famous resort in the country, famous for its
nature, sanatoriums and clean air. You can relax here all year round: in the summer you can
swim in the lake, and in the winter you can ski or skate. The main attraction is the
Zhumbaktas rock, which on one side looks like an Egyptian sphinx, on the other - like an old
woman, and on the third - like a beautiful girl.
Caspian Sea:
The Caspian Sea(kz:Каспий теңізі)- is the largest enclosed body of water on Earth, which can be classified as
the largest closed lake or as a sea - due to its size, origin, depth, salinity, and also
because its bed is formed by the oceanic crust.
